Instructors
The ICF required that all instructors who are teaching the required content based on the Core Competencies, hold one of the three ICF credentials (ACC, PCC or MCC).
Those that are teaching other optional content (not related to the Core Competencies) are not required to hold an ICF credential.
Observers
The ICF requires that all those serving as observers of student coaching sessions and are responsible for providing written feedback, hold one of the three ICF credential (ACC, PCC or MCC).
Mentors
The ICF requires that all Mentors hold an ICF PCC or MCC credential. Mentors must completently understand the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
Performance Evaluation Reviewers
The ICF requires that all Performance Evaluation Reviewers must hold an ICF PCC or MCC Credential. Performance Evaluation Reviewers must competenctly understand the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
Director of Training
The ICF requires that the Director of Training holds a PCC or MCC credential.
The Director of Training provides oversight of the curriculum, instructional processes, training of instructors, and all observation and examination processes.
Specific job responsibilities of the Director of Training:
-Curriculum and class offerings - ensuring that the program is delivering the curriculum as approved by the ICF.
-Instructional Process - ensuring that the content is delivered by methods that ahve been approved by the ICF (live interaction vs. self study), and also that all time requirements for classes are met.
-Training of instructors - Training the program instructors in alignment with the Train the Trainer program within the organization.
-Performance Evaluation Process - Ensuring that the Performance Evaluation is being exactingly followed.
*Please note: The Director of Training is not required to have a role in finances, student enrollment, or other business activities. The intent is to have someone who is an expert in coaching be accountable for the curriculum, delivery of the curriculum, and performance evaluation processes as approved by the ICF.
