  • There are two application pathways for the Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS): Standard and Credit for Prior Learning.


    The Standard Path might be for you if you are a professional still actively developing your mentor coaching practice. It is for those who have or have recently completed robust mentor coaching education.


    The Credit for Prior Learning Path might be for you if you are a long-term mentor coach with a significant amount of mentor coaching experience, and have supported multiple coaches in earning ICF credentials. It recognizes prior experience alongside targeted education.

     

    To help guide you to the right application pathway, please answer a few brief questions about your education and experience.

  • You're Eligible for the Credit for Prior Learning Pathway

  • Congratulations! You are eligible to apply for the MCS through the Credit for Prior Learning application pathway. Please read through the requirements and start your application if you are ready.


    Application requirements:

    • Hold an active ICF credential at or above the level you wish to mentor (ACC, PCC, MCC)
    • Complete 10+ hours of mentor coaching specific education
    • Provided mentor coaching to at least 5 individuals who have earned an ACC, PCC, or MCC credential in the last three (3) years, or to at least five (5) students within a Level 1, 2, or 3 program in the past three (3) years.
    • Complete current ICF evaluation courses (ACC BARS, PCC Markers, MCC BARS) or equivalent for each level of MCS you wish to earn

  • Start Your MCS Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Application

  • Remember: You must apply for and be awarded an MCS at each level you wish to provide mentor coaching. For each MCS level, you must have completed that credential level's evaulation training.

    Requirements:

    • Hold an active credential at or above the level you wish to mentor (ACC, PCC, MCC)
    • Complete 41+ hours of mentor coaching specific education, including:
      • The current ICF evaluation courses (ACC BARS, PCC Markers, MCC BARS) or equivalent for each level of MCS you wish to earn
